3 Stars for waitress being nice and manager taking the kids plates off the bill. Appetizer was greasy. Kids chicken fingers were dried out, they only had one bite - that says a lot. Ribs were ok, nothing worth raving about and certainly not worth $23.xx. Place to way to expensive and it's really all about "the name". Not worth the $! Bathrooms were gross too.

Maybe the worst place to eat...ever. went there at the behest of my sister, and it was worse than imagined. Extremely overpriced for food that is the same or worse quality than MacDonald's. How are they still open? Tourist schmuck like me. One good note: I complained about the horrible quality of my chicken sandwich that cost me over $15, and they took it off my check. And how I still owed $80 with three other people....beyond me. Never again.

My husband (and I, to a lesser extent) are suckers for themed, memorabilla-filled restaurants. We like good local places, but these venues are something of a guilty pleasure. We recently went to this particular PH for the second time. The first time we went was what we expected- decent food, albeit pricey for the quality, at least average service, and a good time. Unfortunately, our second visit was not as positive. The menu had significantly shrunk between visits; what remained were burgers, pasta, and sandwiches. After we got the menus and saw what remained, I wanted to walk out right then and there. We probably should have. Our server was pretty vacant. I tried to justify it by how busy they were, but 5 minutes for a refill is pretty unacceptable. My husband asked for a refill after our dinner came and his glass disappeared never to return. They brought me the wrong meal after I not simply ordered but also pointed to the item on the menu. They corrected this relatively quickly but our server didn't even squeak out an "I'm sorry" for the ordeal. The shrunken menu also omitted a favorite beverage/dessert of mine, an ice cream concoction that included several alcohols/liqueurs, which was really a shame. I couldn't justify drinking a beer in it's place when doing so would have run $15 for a bud freaking light. Overall a very poor experience. We, sadly, will probably not be returning to this PH or any other location.

"Hey, want to go to Planet Hollywood and play some bingo?" "Seriously?" "Yeah, it'll be fun." "O...k..." I honestly thought she was joking. They don't play bingo at Planet Hollywood. Pssh, she's crazy. Turns out, she's not. This Planet Hollywood hosts a bingo game at their location during the winter months. Wow. We arrive at the location and it's very much a Planet Hollywood. Big giant Earth with a staircase leading inside and a souvenir store on one end. Cool. We go up the stairs, to what we think is the restaurant (we could see the souvenir store through the glass door on the ground level). Once at the top we enter and find ourselves in an empty bar. No one was up there to greet us or guide us in the right direction. We walk a bit and find additional stairs leading down to the restaurant (that seemed like a waste of time, going up to just go right back down). However, we finally make it to the restaurant, just in time too, the game was about to start. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful. He answered lots of questions and did so with a smile. He took our orders and kept checking on us frequently. Excellent service. The food was alright. Nothing amazing, but not bad. The portions were ok, but I wouldn't have minded if they had been just a tad bigger, however, I didn't leave hungry so they must have been alright. The bingo (the real reason we were there) was cool. They played quite a few games and gave out plenty of prizes (even won a game myself, w00t). The best thing about the restaurant is the decorations and cinema memorabilia. There was some very cool stuff. However, out of everything they had, the one thing that made my son's day were the Power Rangers costumes. He saw those and he lit up. He loved it. That alone made the visit worth it (and bumped their rating from a 3 to a 4). If you're in the area, check them out. The food is so-so, but if you're a movie buff, you'll enjoy it.

I just had a couple friends in town who asked about the props at Planet Hollywood. I said I'd look around with them but had no interest in eating there. This was on 3/5/15 While I could run long with a list of ewws, I'm just gonna point out one thing: Duct tape on the hand rails leading to the dinner floor. Yes, duct tape. Really? That looks okay to you? Nothing suggests a great meal awaits like running your hand over a duct taped repair as you're in route to your dinner table. If they're gonna be so bold as to think a duct taped brass hand rail (in plain sight) is acceptable, I'm terrified by the thought of everything I can't see. Things actually look worse than the last time I was in. See previous review below. -Neil

Upon arriving the entrance was confusing as we went up the stairs to enter and that led us to a bar area.... which then we had to go down the stairs to the dining room area. There should be signs... because we could have entered through the gift shop. Being that we had a small child going up and down the stairs wasn't the easiest thing. We visited Planet Hollywood on this day to play BINGO!! Yes, Planet Hollywood has bingo! But as we heard there was only one week left until the end of the season which is at the end of the year. This was lots of fun and the manager I am guessing who he was... sat us in a separate room but still close enough that we could play. The center area where everyone was playhing at was full already. But this was better because of our child. We picked up our bingo cards, chips and ways to win sheet. There was a special bingo menu but we opted to have something off the regular menu. I have thee chicken cheese steak sandwich. It arrived on a perfect toasted bun, slices of chicken, onions, peppers and cheese. It came with a side of fries. Once I finished the sandwich I was so full I didn't feast on the fries but the couple I did have were okay, and my son loved them. The waiter we had was super awesome. I saw him running around a lot but he kept up on everything. He made sure we were okay and that we always had our cups refilled. We also of course loved the items on display and went around and took photos when we were on our way out. Lots of fun and good atmosphere!

The food was overpriced... And no flavor. My food came out cold and it looked like they just threw it on the plate. Sent food back and manager never even checked on us!!! I have worked in the restaurant business a long time...worst waitress in a long time!

The great part about Planet Hollywood is the movie memorabilia. They have impressive props (a full Arnold Schwarzenegger terminator replica, a penguin prop from the original Batman movie, a full turtle suit from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie, etc.), outfits, photos and more from popular movies on display along the walls and in the hallways. Once seated or while waiting to be seated, you can take a tour around the place to view the items on display up close, but sometimes it is awkward since some of the items are located on the walls above seating areas where people are eating their food. Also, be forewarned, most of the music played at Planet Hollywood is from the 80's. They have a DJ at times, but the music is still geared toward that of 80's infused pop. The caveat with Planet Hollywood is the food. It is basically sports bar type food that is incredibly overpriced, which is typical for a touristy area like Myrtle Beach. For a family of 4 that quickly adds up. Still, with the unique decor on the inside and outside of the building, it is pretty entertaining, so we have always enjoyed our visits, and will definitely go again.

Planet Hollywood's Myrtle Beach location runs like a crippling glimpse of what once was; the Hollywood-chic party of the 90s has fizzled and all that's left is the Bukowskian next-day hangover of tarp tablecloth and food-stained leopard print carpets. The food is processed and low-quality; nearly the entire menu is fried; my chicken salad included six or so small cubed pieces of dry chicken; the staff sullenly drones around the room, forgetting to check on their tables or refill waters. Drinks are priced with a $10 or so up-charge to account for the mandatory glass to take home; or, for $7 less, you can get your drink in a normal glass (if the bartender feels like it). The DJ plays music videos in a half-hour loop, with brief cuts to reruns of America's Funniest Home Videos. Seeing the Leonardo costume from Turtles III was pretty rad, though.

Just No.. There wasn't a wait, but we figured out why. The place is obviously a tourist trap, but I expected the staff to at least be entertaining or something for the kids. We were a group of 11. The menu is terribly overpriced - $15 for a cheeseburger and fries plus a $4 tea. That was literally the cheapest meal on the menu and the appetizers started at $10. Their "catch of the day" was fried shrimp - who are you fooling exactly?? After my feet stuck to the floor under our table I wanted to leave.

Personally I felt this place was dirty. It's not very big and the food is not worth waiting for AT ALL. It's nothing great at all. I wouldn't waste my time here again, or recommend anyone else to.

WORST...LUNCH...EVER!!! The service is painfully, agonizingly slow. The food is mediocre to terrible, and the physical restaurant itself is filthy. The sinks in the ladies room are filled with slimy pink mold. Three plates of lunch and $50 dollars later (before tip) we left unhappy and unsatisfied. To top the experience off just before our entrées arrived, I felt a 'drip.......drip........drip, on my arm. There was a leak in the ceiling 40 feet up- above my head. Yup. ..I'll never, ever be back.

When you 1st enter Planet Hollywood in Myrtle Beach you have to climb a flight of steps before you can speak to a hostess only to find out that you must climb down another flight of steps to where the tables are. A shortcut would be to go through the gift shop but then you cannot speak to the hostess that must assign you to a table. After we were finally seated we did have a friendly and attentive server. Services were very good. We placed our order and waited what I considered to be a long time, considering the restaurant was not very busy at the time we showed up which was after 9 PM. When the food arrived my cheeseburger was cooked more on the well side than I prefer and the roast beef sandwich did not taste fresh. Overpriced for the food quality.

Let me just start out by saying the things that I enjoyed about this place. The customer service was amazing here. It truly was. But, every restaurant I've eaten at in Myrtle Beach has great customer service compared to what I am used to (Kentucky family owned places). What I didn't like: it was far to pricey for what you get. I got cheese sticks and a bowl of sauteed veggies. The veggies were disgusting. Mostly oil and not cooked very well. It was kind of like they covered them in oil and just stuck them in the microwave or something. The cheese sticks were okay, but the cheese was really chewy and hard to swallow and the marinara sauce was more like salsa to dip chips in. TGI Fridays has the best cheese sticks in this area, in my opinion. The plates looked really well though, the presentation of the food was amazing. My husband had a burger and he swears that it is the best burger he has ever eaten in his life. I didn't try it, because I'm a vegetarian, but he loved it. The fries were okay, nothing special. Definitely better than Mcdonalds, but not so good. He also had the Transformers smoothie, which was pricey but absolutely delicious. The memorabilia is amazing here. I got to have lunch beside of something of Robin Williams' which was amazing. There were also only like two or three other people there while I was there so it was nice and quiet, aside from the videos playing movie trailers all around me. Long story short: Pros: Good Customer Service Great Food Presentation Memorabilia is Amazing Smoothies Are The Best Cons: Price Quality of Food Taste There is a TV but it is only Movie Trailers

What in the world has happened to this franchise? The whole experience was disappointing from the seating and service to the food and pricing. I try to find at least one thing to compliment in my reviews but am drawing a blank on this one. Hope they revive this restaurant!

Walked in, sat down, got up and walked out. The menu they had outside posted was not the same as they gave us. The prices were crazy, the menu limited. When we asked about an item on the menu outside the waiter went into the kitchen for 5 minutes, then a man came out and went outside to see if we were lying??? The waiter came back and asked if the manager came to see us? Nope he had not he had just walked back into the kitchen without a word. So we just got up and left. Considering it was lunch and there was only one other table in the entire place you would think they would have treated us with a little more respect trying to keep us there, not! All we asked about was a roast beef club. Not what I remember of Planet Hollywood. I think it is time they throw in the towel.

We were seated by the hostess who was still in midconversation with a coworker about Facebook and continued the conversation as she walked to seat us. We sat for fifteen minutes with no awknowledgment from any server or anything. They were not busy. We just noticed employees standing around talking. We got up and left at that point. It was a waste of time

The whole kitschy movie theme thing is ok I suppose. My daughter and wife did enjoy browsing the memorabilia. I'm not really a movie fan so most of it is lost on me. But of course there is a serious issue with Planet Hollywood and that is the food. I am perplexed. How they can foist such terrible food on the vacationing public is a mystery to me. There must be something wrong with the management at this company. And I mean that seriously. The food is that bad. Any fool with 2 minutes of restaurant experience could find ways to improve the menu. Unless you are so hungry you'd chew on your shoe (your shoe might actually taste better) avoid Planet Hollywood.

My son has a severe peanut allergy and the server and then manager came out to assure us that his food was safe and that they take allergies very seriously! That's never happened to us and he is ten years old! Food was good and prices reasonable.

Extremely overpriced, dirty restaurant, poor service. My wife and I sat down for our 5th anniversary, having been drawn in my a $10 off of $30 coupon in the local Monster coupon book. It had been a long time since I had been, and she had never been, so we figured it was a good idea. We were greated in a flippant manner and shuffled downstairs to a table. The restaurant seemed quite dirty, at least in comparison to what I remembered from a visit many years ago. They have a zebra carpeting that looks like it hasn't been clean in a few years. It is probably not the best idea for flooring in a high-traffic restaurant such as this, as any white carpeting would probably look the same. When we took a look at the menu we were in shock. A burger and fries was $14.99. Other fare was upwards of $20+. I know that you are paying a premium for the atmosphere and memorabilila, but this was too steep regardless. We ordered the avocado stack, which was more of a guacamole scoop than a stack of anything. The guac was turning dark green from the avocado sitting out for a while. And this was $10.99. I ordered the steak, chicken and shrimp fajitas. They were actually quite delicious, but it is very hard to screw up fajitas. My wife ordered the Chicken Alfredo which had a wierd taste to it, something industrial, hard to explain but made it hard to eat. Our waiter seemed disconnected and only checked on us twice. He filled my water only once - it sat empty most of the time. Most of the wait staff stayed huddled up in a corner clowning around so it is clear they have no leadership or direction from the managerial staff. I will not be going back.

It was our teenagers turn to pick the restaurant for dinner. So, we ended up at Planet Hollywood. In all honestly, one star is a gift...seriously. We have been to our fair share of kitschy touristy restaurants across the US so we really didn't have that high of expectations, but this place was nothing short of AWFUL! The wait time was awful. The hostess was rude and had an awful personality. The food prices were awful. The food was awful. The food service was awful. Net-net....unless you like "awful" dining experiences...stay away from Planet Hollywood!!

Planet Hollywood is my restaurant in myrtle beach. The food is excellent. The prices are very reasonable considering the location and the venue. Don't even get me started on the service, EXCEPTIONAL! If you haven't been, you're definitely missing out!

Every time I come to MB I eat here. As many other reviews state: Yes, it is in desperate need of an up-do. It is still serving a simple menu that is hikes up about 25% We waited even though 35 minutes later we found that they were not using two full sections with at least 50 extra seats. And I also confirm the bathroom smell...combination of mold/sewage issues. The good things: Food and drinks were fresh. They even had a veggie burger for me. Staff was nice. And as always the movie memorabilia is a nice plus to walk around and look at while you wait. I would say I hope to eat here again but if nothing changes I predict the doors close before 2014.

Ok, I love the concept of Planet Hollywood. Well, for the most part anyway...It's loud and a great place if you like movies or have little ones. And I'm done. Now onto the review. This place is by far the worst dinner I have spent $60-$80 on. (I don't remember the final amount, but it was in that range somewhere.) Almost everything was cold, nothing even had the appearance that it was not microwaved, packaged food, and to top it off, did I mention that I paid almost a Benjamin for it? I don't mind going to tourist spots every now and then, and I don't mind paying a decent amount of money for a meal, but paying this for this was crazy! Think I've been twice and never again.

    (1)
  • Karen D.

The food was not worthy of their prices. Our server was 100% great, but two plates came out 11 minutes later than the the rest of our group which was awkward. The fajitas came out covered in green slime no one liked. My BBQ Sandwich was about 20% to sweet. And my food was brought to the table cold. Not good. Bottom-line bring kids here for the movie history and not the gross food. If you don't have kids I'd avoid this place completely.

  • Mike S.

The worst service I have ever seen. We were seated quickly and our waitress took our order in a timely manner. That is where everything went down hill. The meal came out and I never got my salad. That would be the last time we saw our waitress. After our drinks sat empty for 10 minutes, I asked a host to find our waitress. 5 minutes later, no waitress still. I then asked to speak with the manager. He was one of the people in the social powwow when I was trying to get someone's attention earlier. He did not charge us for the meal.

  • Ashlyn G.

Ordered the Swiss and avocado grilled chicken sandwich and was not impressed at all. First of all, it took about 35 minutes to come out when the restaurant wasn't even busy (we were seated immediately). The chicken was tough, barely warm, and chewy. The whole sandwich had no flavor and I had to use tons of ketchup to give it some kind of taste. The only good thing was the salads that were ordered by my friends.

I'm convinced that this chain must be some kind of money-laundering operation for the Scientologists. This was my second visit to the Myrtle Beach Planet Hollywood, about twelve years after my previous visit, and it seemed like absolutely nothing had changed during that time. My family was one of only a handful of diners, just like before, and I actually remembered most of the menu items and the movie props that were on display. I'm betting that I could have gotten similar-quality pasta fresh from my grocer's freezer.

    (1)
  • Sam C.

We only went here because they advertised a "$10 off $30 or more" coupon in the local "Monster Coupon Book" and we were on that side of town and hungry. I've never cared much for the place. Every time we've been there in the past it was only "okay". Today was a little better... I guess. The food was fine, the service was lacking, but the prices were OUTRAGEOUS! $13 sandwich I can see, but charging $6 to add a side salad to that sandwich or STARTING the kids menu at $8 is ridiculous. I would highly recommend you pass on this one, unless you're big into seeing a few movie items that have been on display and un-touched for 15+ years.

  • Upstate Y.

I would go elsewhere. Our waitress was amazing. Food .....no so much. Long wait. Steaks asked for medium were still mooing when they came to the table. Expensive. There were a ton of better places to eat...I would skip.

This is what happens when no one can agree on a place to get dinner... everyone's got an opinion but no one can agree, so the driver just pulls into the nearest place and says, "we're here". To tell you the truth, I didn't even know these still existed. I went to a PH in Niagra Falls, Canada and wasn't that impressed so I didn't have high hopes for this one. Cons: Decor - hasn't been updated at all. Bathroom - Smelled like raw sewage (not like someone just dropped a deuce, it was truely unbearable. Menu - Not vegetarian friendly Prices - Too high for the quality Pros: Conan's sword on display Food - Meh, I've had better, I've had worse. Service - Our waiter, Robin, was exceptionally nice and patient with a good sense of humor and had the cutest Irish accent.

    (2)
  • Jason M.

This specific PH isn't exactly clean. And the bathrooms have a "haven't been cleaned in a few days, smell to them. That combined with playing videos that are not even close to kid friendly.... I won't be back.

Server was very good considering the lackluster food that was served. Bathrooms need remodel, very smelly, not sure if bleach would help!! Cool movie memorabilia, nothing very recent though. Will not return...

My family stopped in for lunch. When we were at the Grand Prix sports complex. There was one other family in the entire restaurant. We all ordered burgers nothing special. Everyone's came out fast and were cold the cheese was not even melted. My sons did not come after 20 minutes later with no sign of the waiter I went to the manager. Finally my sons burger came out 30 minutes after the rest of go our food. Canopy food crappy service. We will never eat there again.

Just stopped in for memorabilia, so my experience was good enough. Long lines, busy staff but no complaints. Visually pleasing, the exterior is a HUGE blue dome with a spaceship like walkway to enter the building. Neat experience on my end, but then again. I didn't eat there.

Went to Planet Hollywood last night before a show next door. We were seated immediately and the server was at our table pretty quickly. Drinks came quickly as well. I ordered the turkey club and my mom ordered a ribeye. While the steak was excellent (according to her), the sandwich was disgusting. The turkey had an "off" taste and may have been bad. I immediately sent it back and got the pasta primavera which was very good. Overall, the service and food are decent but the prices are high. $50 for two people with no alcoholic drinks is expensive to me.

    (3)
  • Peyton C.

Service was terrible! We had a waiter named Ronnie who was not friendly and not very talkative or personable at all. The food was ridiculously overpriced! I got one bbq sandwich that was $12.99, which isn't terrible- until I saw the size of the sandwich...it looked like it should be on the kids menu! Overall I would not recommend this restaurant and I will not be going back to any more Planet Hollywoods!

  • Jennifer S.

I'd never been here before so we decided to take our teenage kids while on vacation. BIG mistake. I should've known it wasn't going to go well simply by the fact that it was peak season and only one other table had customers. We were the only other family in the place. All except two of us ordered burgers & all were timely except for my sons burger which came out when we were almost done eating. We felt very bad that we had food & he didn't. The movie decor is VERY dated and the big movie screen by our table wasn't even turned on (isn't that supposed to be part of the atmosphere?). TERRIBLE experience and PAID WAY TOO MUCH for this experience. Never eating there again.

    (1)
  • Christopher L.

Planet Hollywood is an ok place for someone that has not been there before. The movie/TV props are cool and the food is pretty decent. I am settling on two stars because overall there isn't much content to it in terms of restaurant quality. The food isn't bad, but I have not been wow'ed over it after two trips. If you've been to a Hard Rock Cafe, this is Hollywood's "Hard Rock Cafe". Decent food, large crowd, make a reservation if you want to go.

    (2)
  • Josh P.

I had the rib dinner and I thought they was amazing! The price wasn't too bad; about what is expected from a sit down restaurant in Myrtle Beach. Great staff! Just make sure to call ahead for reservations! If not then expect a wait time of around 90 minutes!

    (4)
  • Tara S.

Decent food but not worth the price. Atmosphere was fun. Not sure I'd dine there again based on cost for a family of 4.

    (3)
  • Trevor H.

The atmosphere is nice but we ran into a few problems. When we got here we didn't immediately get the seats we wanted. We were told that the seats were reserved for a larger party. A minute later a party the same size as ours was seated where we wanted to sit. A manager took care of the issue and we got better seating. Reading the reviews I wasn't sure of what to order and my girlfriend was not impressed with the menu because it wasn't consistent with the menu online. She was expecting chicken Parmesan and pizza and a much better desert menu. We ended up getting appetizers. I was pleased with the Texas tostados appetizer and the mozzarella sticks, chicken fingers, wings and fries were ok. The waiters were pretty good and overall the food wasn't too bad. I just wouldn't rush back because of the prices.

Horrible Horrible Food. Please save yourself the misery. It's very expensive and taste like food from a csn, that was opened 3 days ago. The worst meal I've had in a long time, and I paid $60. Also they had the music cranked up so loud I couldn't even hear myself think. Left with a headache, a stomach ache, and a need to find something else to eat.

I have been to Planet Hollywoods in several places. This one was NOTHING special. I am really thinking that this restaurant chain is more about the memorabilia than the food. We went for lunch and I actually expected some kind of lunch special to be offered, but nothing, just the regular menu. Prices are high for a burger or sandwich, there are 15 other places in Myrtle Beach to get a better burger or sandwich. Our service was excellent. To me the tables are packed in WAY to close to each other.

    (2)
  • Adam W.

I really didn't think service could be this bad. Not only was our waitress piss poor the management was no better. We sat down and it took a few minutes for our waitress to come over, introduce herself and at that point take our orders. I will say she was very pleasant but the service was lackluster at best. We had to request water from her 4 different times before she brought it to our table and it took over 50 minutes just to bring out our appetizers. We actually received the appetizers before the water. Management made excuses for the poor service which really just pissed me off. What possible excuse can you give me for taking 50 minutes to bring water? Well aside from the poor service the food sucked. I had a small piece of something in my burger which resembled plastic and the smoothies were primarily ice with no flavor. Eventually management came back and removed a few things from the bill which was nice however all I was looking for was a decent meal and experience. Planet Hollywood failed at that. Can't say this is a place I will go back to.

Took one look at the menu and just ordered drinks. Way to expensive for bar type food. Our bill was still $40 for only 2 drinks and 2 shots. The props were the only thing worth the drive there.

Went here as part of a trip--what a disaster. My initial impressions of the place was "wow, this looks tired". And that it was. The inside looked like it looked great about 10 years ago and was really showing its age. It didn't have the futuristic vibe like it was going for. We were seated and I ordered a chicken caesar salad and a sierra mist--pretty simple right? No. The salad was horrendous. Shredded lettuce, tasteless and rubbery chicken, barely any dressing...and...uh, well that's it. They did bring out some croutons for me. The salad was one of the worst I've ever had. Dessert was, get this, the chef specialty of...one scoop of vanilla ice cream. You've got to be kidding me. Horrible. This place was beat--stay far, far away.

Overpriced food, filthy restrooms, deserted dining room and depressing atmosphere. The videos they ran were very poor quality and the music videos by untalented singers like Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato insulted the eardrums of me, my husband and 18, 21 and 23 year old children. We only stopped there to eat because we wanted milkshakes with our dinner and it was about 9:30PM. The food was mediocre at best. None of us ordered alcoholic beverages and we all ordered sandwiches. The bill was $138!!! The next night we ate at T Bonz, ordered drinks and steak and it was only $132. I have never felt so ripped off in my life. I would rather go hungry then eat there again.

I posted a poor review about this place. I have been contacted by the management twice and everything has been made right. I continue to support this establishment. Wonderful people to work with.

Terribly disgusting! The floors the chairs the tables, everything was filthy! Has an "A" rating from health department, yea I doubt that VERY much. If the kitchen is anything like the rest of the place there is no way it is sanitary. Someone got paid for that bogus A rating. If I could give this place zero stars I would!

Great for memorabilia. Our waitress was friendly and knowledgable. Food was good and I was happy that when the kids order macaroni and cheese they didn't get kraft macaroni and cheese. The kids enjoyed the light up cups that was probably the highlight of the dinner for them because they didn't really know any of the memorabilia except for the ninja turtle. They enjoyed watching the music videos on the screen. Food was a bit expensive and when ordering the Independence Day drink in the glass it is advertised in on the menu it was mainly ice. There was not much of a drink to it.

We ended up here because the place we wanted to go to had too long of a wait. Super touristy and I really didn't expect much. We were seated right away and surrounded by Hollywood memorabilia everywhere. Videos played on the multiple flatscreens around us. The appetizers surprisingly weren't bad. Barbeque chicken won tons which were flat and more like nachos, and a nacho platter. Not bad. I had salmon teriyaki with vegetables on the side. It was ok, but nothing I will remember. The girls had some type of fried lasagna creation, that looked good, but basically sucked!! Bad sauce will ruin anything and it had a freezer burn taste to it. All in all, a sub par experience which is what i expected.

The food really isn't that great but my kid loves this place because all the stuff that's in it so I'll give it three stars. They do have a lot of choices but the food is not that great spaghetti Was very bland. It's pretty expensive To eat here. But the servers are very nice And somewhat knowledgeable of all the Cool movie props.

The food was mediocre, not horrible but nothing to rave about. The person that sat us was kind of unfriendly, but the waiter was great!!! The atmosphere is pretty neat. Overall the the $60 bill isn't worth it for 2 adults and 2 kids...

This is by far THE worst restaurant experience I've ever had. I would give them a negative star rating were it possible. It was so bad, that we didn't even stay to get our food! I ordered the ribs with a salad and my wife ordered the club sandwich. I also ordered some strawberries for my son and specifically asked for them to be cut up. First off, the drinks tasted like dish detergent as if they weren't rinsed before serving drink in them. The bathrooms were horrible! It was like a raw sewage plant and there was urine and water all over the floor. Next, we waited about 20 min before I even got the salad and my son got his strawberries. The salad consisted of letuce, cucumber, and tomato....that's it. The strawberries my son received weren't washed, weren't cut up, and worst of all, they were molded!!! We sent them back. The waiter got an attitude, and when he returned 10 min later, it looked like he just rinsed off the mold and gave us the same ones! Speaking of the waiter, he wasn't doing his job. He decided he'd rather chat with all of the female waitresses instead of refilling our drinks or actually bringing the food. After waiting for an hour, our food still wasn't there and we spoke with the manager who said the drinks and strawberries were free, and we left without getting our food. Avoid this place like the plague!!!

If you have small children, they may like the atmosphere and won't care the food is terrible. My family and I went there a few months ago because we couldn't decide on what we wanted for dinner so we settled on Planet Hollywood thinking it would offer something for everyone. We all got something different and none of us finished our food. There are way too many good restaurants in North Myrtle to waste your time here.

The best part of eating here was the atmosphere and all the movie memorabilia. The food was mediocre and the service was slow. Also, the food is quite pricey.

It ruined everyone's evening going here. What a waist of money. The most expensive meal our entire vacation and the whole family ordered sandwiches. The waiters there take 18% gratuity regardless of number of people per ticket which is wrong. The only good thing about this place is the scenery. The food in terms of quality and pricing is ridiculous.

This was our 2nd visit to Planet Hollywood - the movie paraphernalia is dated, and the food is, as well. As good as our food sounded, the delivery wasn't all that we expected. the french fries were the stand-out, which isn't a good thing!!

seriously...how can you mess up chicken strips!?! our waiter was very understanding when i gave up on the chicken which smelled like "homelessness" and tasted worse. i got an order of safe fries instead. 3 stars for great service. place is spotless and there's so many facts and figures to glance at. while waiting for your food, i suggest you take your own little tour of the place. it's the biggest and nicest PH i've been to.

Ok let me start off with what was ok, the fajitas were ok, the server was ok, the items to look at were ok, but seriously when you go into a planet hollywood you are certainly expecting something to wow you. I was not even remotely wowed, I wondered how in the world was that place staying in business. The price for the fajitas was over priced for what you get, I have tasted much better fajitas for much less. I would pay if the taste, and experience was worth it. I would suggest they get some impersonators to interact with the guests to liven up the joint. Would not go back.

Over priced. Its that simple. 10.00 for the cheapest plainest hamburger and really stale fries. Avoid this place like the plague. The memorabilia isn't worth the price of eating here. Kids menu doesn't even have burgers.

So, I'm honestly not really interested in writing this review, however I do feel the people need to know. My first line of thought is, " why do I need to walk up a flight of steps to go down another to be seated?" Anyhow, being seated didn't take long, which for a Sunday evening, is to be expected! Service honestly wasn't that bad. Service was decent, and she seemed genuine enough. Remember, service is ALWAYS number One! However, the food...just wasn't....very good. My chicken Philly came out incorrectly ordered, and when it did, it wasn't all that. Frozen chicken breast, WITH A BONE IN! And not real tasty. Menu was nothing worth writing home about, a little on the light side. Because there were 7 of us, gratuity was already calculated, and that irked me a little. Get my order right, and my thoughts may have been differently? And as a few Yelpers have already stated, the establishment is very out of date and worn! Memorabilia about Beetlejuice and Freddy Krueger? WGAF?!?! I guess we just expected a lot more than was given. This is 2013, right? So, my opinion is seek elsewhere!

The service was great, food pretty good, but a little pricey. Atmosphere was good, until some obnoxious "dj" decided to announce stupid jokes and sell tshirts while we were trying to eat. I hated being "sold" whole trying to have dinner with my family. That was the worst part. The dinner and service was good, but we won't be back just because of that annoying solicitation!

Like a theme park... You pay more for the experience than for the substance. The chicken strips with their Frosted Flakes breading were interesting and pretty good, but other items like the spinach dip and the chicken on the southwest salad were pretty bland. Service was mediocre at best, but not the worst I've ever had. If you've never been here, then it is worth coming once. But this was my 2nd visit over the years and I wish I had gone somewhere else.

So I usually check Yelp or tripadvisor before doing anything! I didn't with Planet Hollywood because I didn't think I needed to! WRONG!!!! This place was not worth the effort of leaving my hotel. Should have ordered room service. The hostesses were nice and friendly and the place is nice! Then the food - NOT very good. The steaming fajita plates that OTHER people were receiving were causing little kids around us to cough because there was WAYYYY too much smoke. Our food wasn't that good and after I found two HARD little balls in my mashed potatoes (that were supposed to be garlic and wasn't!), I asked the server to please get me something else. She said she would get the manager then came back and asked if I wanted something else. UH - YEAH since I can't eat that side! But where was the manager?! Never came. Then when she brought me the new side she said oh those things were probably just skin from the potatoes but your entree is on the house and this side too - like she was doing me a favor! First - it wasn't skin because I know what skin looks like. Second - I didn't ask for skin in my potatoes even if it was "only skin". Third - I HATE when people don't apologize and take responsibility for an error. Fourth - They charged me full price for my meal. I will never go back there again. They suck, the service sucked, the food sucked and they were super slow.

What difference from the Orlando restaurant. Hollywood stuff gets the kids in, but place is poorly run. Table cloth on table was sticky and holes in plastic pulling the white foam thru, ordering took forever and getting drinks from whatever dimension the bar is located took forever. Bathrooms smelled of stale urine. Food so,so. Burger came out hard like a hockey puck, avacodo chicken was bland. They need to decide if they want to stay open.

The place was decorated the same at every location. I ordered a salad where I received 8 full leaves uncut. The dressing was only on the leaves so after I cut up my plate I had to mix it all together. As expected the prices are high. The service was ok.

Like others have said it's more of a place to go to look around instead to go out to eat. It actually reminded me a lot of the Hard Rock Cafe across the street... over priced! The service was so-so and they literally had 4 tables in the whole place. I had a coupon from the hotel for a free spinach dip with a $15 total (which would be one burger). The spinach dip was good (but not worth the $8.99 cost), but I was getting it for free, so I was ok with that. Also from the hotel we got 15% off the total bill. After eating the good, but not worth $13 burger I showed the card to the waitress. She came back and said that we couldn't use the 15% off and the free app coupon together. Before we went I made sure we could use both... the coupons had nothing stating you can't combine them. The waitress gave us the 15% discount and charge us for the app, because she said it saved us more money. I don't know how she does math but the 15% saved us 6 bucks... and the app would save us $8.99... The waitress got busy w/ a table of 6, so I went to the host stand and asked him about the confusion... he also told me that you can't combine them and I said "where does it say that?!" He talked to the manager (who never came out to explain to me why... I'm sure he was busy w/ the 4 other tables). After waiting another 5 + minutes the waitress came out with a new bill with the 15% and the free app. I'm not sure if I will be going back. If the coupon said ((Not valid with any other coupon or discount)) I would understand.

Service was great. Very responsive. The food was good and came out quick. The place is cool looking inside and out. The music is pretty loud which I suppose was the only downfall. Then again we were one of three tables in the place. Overall very good. We will be back here our next tine around. Also very entertaining for the kids.

Disappointing. Sure, it looks cool on the outside, but I just was not satisfied at all. I went with a LARGE group (over 100 students plus parent chaperones and teachers) during a trip to Myrtle Beach for a music festival/adjudication while I was a junior in High School. Because of this, we had a limited selection of what we could order because we had meal vouchers and there were so many of us. They did not bring my particular table our food until pretty much everyone else had finished eating, and they didn't seem to care that we were sitting there starving for a long time. The only good part was a coupon for the gift shop, which I used. Whatever, there are so many other Planet Hollywoods around the country (better yet, around the world) that are much better.

Um, just don't go here. You will be tempted because the building is interesting to look at and all the movie memorabilia is slightly entertaining. But if you are coming here to eat a meal and expect anything that resembles food, turn back around and go across the street. I'm not going to say that it was horrible. But definitely strange. They have this lasagna which turned out to be meat-filled shells turned up on their ends and stacked in the middle of the plate. I'm not sure what country the chef is from but here in America, lasagna is noodles and sauce in a casserole form. I just don't know what else to say.
